Hello everyone. I hope everyone is progressing well on their AMCAS / AACOMAS. Can I get you guys to help me out on my school list? I am Asian, a non-trad, and I am a resident of California

Here are my stats:

cGPA: 3.56 ;
sGPA: 3.68
MCAT: 507: 128/124/125/130

I know I have a very strong and compelling personal statement, and I am extremely proud of it :)...

Hi guys, I'm applying this cycle and I need help determining which schools I will be competitive for. Here are my stats:

-3.9 cGPA/sGPA
-507 mcat (first attempt)
-African American male
-volunteering at a hospital (110 hrs)
-other general volunteer work (300 hrs)
-shadowed a primary care physician (80 hrs)
-was a scribe for 7 months
-shadowing various doctors at Mayo Clinic (40 hrs)
-Researched in lab since beginning of sophomore year, and currently doing a thesis on my own research project...

I'm currently on the waiting list for one DO school, so I 'm planning to re-apply this year and planning to re-take my MCAT in July-28 (because I really need time to work on my CARS section since English is my second language). my GPA is 4.0 but my MCAT is 505 with a very low CARS score (121). I have questions about the time-line on applying the school/submitting my application.

Is it I shouldn't "submit" my application until my new MCAT score is released? or I can still submit my...

Hey guys! Just posting here to get some feedback on where I am with my medical school application. I'm taking a year off to improve my medical school application (and enjoy life a little, really). I want to start looking at schools I may be applying to just so I have an idea when it comes time to hit submit. I'm also open to any gaps I may have--I'm hoping to become really competitive for top 15 schools if at all possible since I have the extra time to do so :)

So. Ive just realized that I need to build up my Out of State school list to about 20-25 schools for AMCAS. I am a Texas Resident applying to all Texas schools. I'm also not looking into any OOS DO schools for this cycle

GPA - 4.0 (unless something went terribly wrong with my last set of finals, which I dont believe is the case)

MCAT - taking in June, but expecting around 512-513 at the minimum with amount of prep, general test taking ability, and scores from practice exams. Hoping to...

I mostly just need advice on a school list.

Texas resident planning to apply to all Texas schools. I'm open to applying DO as well. Hoping for some recommendations on out of state schools that's are in my range. Thanks.

Hello all,

It took me so long to figure out that I wanted to go to medical school and that I believe this is God's calling in my life going forward. I had a terrible first couple of years at UTampa before transferring to ASU. I have changed majors 4 times before now deciding to go into Medical Microbiology at ASU. I am also completing a psychology degree; I'm supposed to graduate in the Spring of 2019 now. I will graduate with 2 degrees; 2 bachelor of sciences, however.

First time asking for help. Put off applying a few years to get experience and an improved MCAT score. 27 y/o, non-trad by now, started healthcare related activities senior year but have not taken classes since graduation in 2013. Information taken from stickied WAMC thread below.

I have been looking at the MSAR and picking schools based on median and percentile ranges. I don't know if I'm aiming too high given my first expired score, and have no real reference point for what my target vs...

I have a 3.0 gpa overall and I have to retake Chem II and have yet to take physics II and orgo I and II. I already finished my degree in psychology after changing from biology. I had taken some courses from the biology major (genetics, immunology and ecology). I am applying to certificate programs. I have yet to take the MCAT. My ECs are pretty good: medical scribe for 2 years, physician shadowing coordinator for pre med organization, five separate shadowing experiences, children's hospital...

Some advice please !

Its too late in the cycle to edit my school list, but given that I just came across the WAMC format, I was hoping to get different perspectives about my chances of getting interviews for the school I've applied for:

So in highschool, i didn't try as hard as i could of (87 gpa) and got myself into a community college. I did get into a university however i couldn't attend it because it was way to expensive and decided to go to a cc first and then transfer into a 4 year public college since i didn't get in the first time around.

I didn't start CC in the best way, i got a b+ in general biology because i was caught up on finding the right study habits that work for me.

Hi all. I am about to graduate with a bachelors from public university. about 2 years ago i was accused of cheating on a lab assignment in a bio class. I was collaborating with my lab partner on our assignment (which was encouraged in this case) and my TA thought our answers looked copied because our shorthand and indentation was the same. Need advice on school list as I will be applying to all TX schools. Some say I should apply to a limited # of OOS MD schools due to being a TX resident, but does my GPA mean that I should? TX schools all seem to have pretty high GPAs

Assume slightly above average ECs - Scribing, public health research, volunteering
